Welcome to the Payette River Scenic Byway!
Welcome to the Payette River National Scenic Byway–your gateway to some of the most incredible scenery and recreation in the United States. Running 112 miles between Greater Boise and New Meadows, Idaho, spanning 4 counties, the byway accesses thousands of miles of recreational trails, whitewater, mountain vistas and opportunities for wining, dining and family fun. With so many options available, we have done our best to consolidate the byway’s resources into this central website. We encourage you to explore our partner sites for detailed options in the towns of Horseshoe Bend, Cascade, Donnelly, McCall and New Meadows, and everything in between. Happy trails!
